It is suggested that all homes have secure deadbolts on exterior doors. Door viewers on all doors with a minimum of º180 viewing area is also a must for security. Deadbolt bolts should extend out from the door al least a minimum of 1". Frame striker plates should have 3" screws that screw into the 2X4 or 2X6 frame stud in behind the frame
